My jacuzzi is heating and there I will sit, Asti in hand, and watch the new years roll in.

Merry New Years.

See you next year.

Do most countries have a traditional song and food for New Years? Here in Sweden, I ate some weird potato and fish dish tonight and listened to some Swedes sing a song about the best time being now. We grew up eating cabbage (cooked with a silver coin) and singing Old Lang Syne of course.
Happy New Year (three hours late for Sweden and three hours early for America)

For my family it was Herring in sour cream.. If you don't eat that on New Years it was bad luck. WIth a dark heavy black bread....

Hope everybody survived their New Year's celebrations! I had fun buying $300 worth of champagne and a 50lb, YES fifty pound, carrot cake for my boss' party. Damn, I love shopping with other people's money! Just in case you're still feeling after effects from last night, here's something I saved for you from New Year's 1999...
