Ever since I've started here in August, I've always really looked forward to entering every challenge that came around. Yeah, there were a couple of times that I missed challenges, one stretch because of scheduling, one or two here or there where I couldn't come up with anything to post. One that I didn't feel I could produce a shot with my camera (soft focus) and didn't even try.

And of course of all the challenges that I've entered, there are a couple that I ain't proud of. You know, you entered a shot because you had too... I think most of us have done it. Look through my portfolio, you can figure out which ones are mine!

The December challenge was no different, in fact when it was announced I was stoked about it! I knew I'd have something great for it. But then a wierd thing happened and I don't know what it was. I know Setz's blurbs had a lot to do with it. But I had a great month of photography. I took shots that I wanted to take because I wanted to take them and without thinking at all of challenges. Work that I did for myself and happened to enter because it fit! Shots that I didn't care where they ended up in the final rankings. It ended up being my best string of entries yet and IMHO two of my best pieces to date. And the December challenge ain't so important any more. I have a few shots I'm going through and I plan on going out tomorrow and shooting a couple more shots. But I'm not entering one just because I can or must. You may not see ANY shot by me tomorrow night at midnite...

And that's all right!

I'm excited to see what others have come up with. I respect your growth as you have laid it out. Can;t wait to get there myself (inching there thou).

I have a great idea (in my mind) that I want to enter but I have yet to shoot it. No willing participants yet. Might have to do it self portrait style but I need one more perosn! Hope to find that person 2morrow so I can enter. If not, will post it in my portfolio.

Don't let not having a model stop you! I knew how I wanted the picture that I entered into the Vehicle challenge to look. I had the picture stuck in my head and it wouldn't go away. I was gonna have my son ride his bike by the camera but he went to his grandmas for the weekend and wasn't there! I had to do it myself. Had to ride past that damn camera about 40 times but when I saw it in camera, it was the picture in my head (with a little tweeking!)

Quick question: I still haven't picked a shot out (and am still PS'ing a couple) for this challenge. Most of them are already in my workshop portfolio... I have to work to night and won't have access to the files on my computer. Is there a way I can transfer from workshop directly into challenge from work? It would be a lot easier for me to do it that way than to have to phsically take all the files and exif data and notes with me...
