Hi folks! Was wondering if you had any suggestions for "must see" attractions in Montreal/Toronto? I will be visiting btw June 19th-29th and would appreciate any input. Just vacationing and reconnecting with old friends so I'll have plenty of time for site-seeing. Thanks!

Montreal in the summer is the city of festivals! Lots of fun... During the dates you listed, I am aware of these festivals:

The Fireworks Festival. Worth its weight in gold. If you are around during one of these (June 20, 27), it's a must.

La Fete National: This is commonly known as Quebec's party day (Juen 23-24). The site is all in French (because it's all about Quebecers), but they have parades, games, the whole works. If you're around for this and can't read french, just ask around for details.

Montreal Jazz Festival (June 28-July 8): Possibly the biggest and best festival of them all. They close off a huge chunk of downtown for this. Everyone, and I mean everyone, will wander down to one of the many free venues that have people playing all day. You can't miss this.

If you have any more questions about Montreal, just PM me. I grew up there.

This weekend is Pride in Toronto..so I would say go...Its not a scary thing..Its a great time with literally a million people at the parade on Sunday...
Conversely, if Pride scares you avoid the core on Sat and Sun!! Theres lots of Jazz happening, fireworks etc..It is one of Toronto's busiest weekends, aside from the regular tourist fun

Have Fun!!

when they close church street down and everyone walks around after the parade i think is a riot!! last one i went to they had about 20 street cleaners lined up to clean the road after the parade was so much fun!
I found no one objects to cameras...
