Hey - one thing you look forward to is having a fully developed brain - life gets really good. ;D

To get back my youth I would do anything in the world, except take exercise, get up early, or be respectable.

Does it really matter how old someone is when it comes to entering anonymous photography challenges?

Age ain't nothin but a number, my friend, in which case you're losing cool points by the minute :) Luckily you have a good sense of sarcasm, it will serve you well in your old age and by your statements that should be in about 4 years or so?

Just kidding with ya. Every once in awhile I realize that I'm over 30 and I get this cold chill up my spine and it makes me want to run out and get a tattoo or something!

Thanks for giving us crabby old folks something to gripe about young'un!
:)~

Let me tell you a story, little girl, about the value of growing older.

Yesterday I was out walking in the bog with my trusty cane and my Oly, and I saw the most fantastic picture right in front of me. I get ready to take it, but this cute young guy gets in front of me with a Canon D10 and wants to take away MY picture. I quickly put the Oly on the floor, grab my cane, and whack the guy accross the back. He yelps, falls down, and his camera flies into the air. I make a stab and hook the strap of his Canon with my cane. I grab the Canon, hang it on a tree branch, grab my Oly, and take MY picture. I had to whack the guy a couple more times as he kept trying to get up and reach his camera to steal my picture.

Now, if I weren't 79 years old and in need of a cane to walk, I would have never gotten that picture; and that would have been very sad.

So, there you are. Remember when you get old, always carry a cane.

Ursula

EDIT: Please read "young man" instead of "little girl" in the first sentence.

That's hilarious!!! :) I can't stop laughing, if I'd only seen it with with my own two eyes! Nope, that wouldn't have been good, cause I probably would've keeled over dead from the site. In which case I'd never have the priviledge of becoming an old cane carrying vigilante!!

it's just a matter of time til 12 year olds are calling you over the hill and uncool and you too respond with indignation ("Age is just a number!")

but given that our society promotes that younger is better and older is worthless, it's not surprising you would make such a statement.

you're a good little brainwash-ee. MTV did it's job right with you; it should be proud ;).

Hey Miah you better be thankfull to be 18 cause 28 then 38 then 48 comes up on you really fast! And I mean FAST! After I turned 18 (Legal adult) couldnt wait to be 21 (drinking age) After 21 couldnt wait for 25 ( car insurance drop) darn now that I am 28 wish I was 18 again! Age will only give you knoweledge that maybe you could soke up now so you wont make any dumb mistakes that will hurt you when you are in your 30s and 40s!
What kills me is when I see these 16 and 17 year olds out driving and I look again to see that was one of those youngens I used to change their diapers babysitting. Or for that matter my own 3 year old youngen growing so fast! Watch out 30 is right around the corner!
