B-2 is hands down the best shot of the bunch. I left a few comments on some others.

Congrats getting the shot witht he P51, F16, F15 and F4 all in the same shot. Im guessing they shortly passed the P51.

They all look very nice. I like the F/15 Eagle the best. If you really wanna try your hand at Aviation Photography, check this out - JetPhotos.net

Lance F15 even says it lol. F18 has some distinct differences, but same basic shape similar to mig 29.

This one is my favorite. I love that plane! I had one fly over a couple hundred feet over my head two years ago. It was so eerily quiet, I could have sworn it was something right out of a sci-fi movie.

I wonder how many UFO sightings this thing created in it's beginning?

I have some shots of the F117 Stealth Fighter that I will process later. I took over 800 shots at this air show today. I am burnt to a crisp and very tired at the moment. Thanks to all for the comments.

For comparison sake (and I won't post the pics here to avoid hijacking the thread) take a look at the images I got last summer. Some of them were with the Canon 300mm 2.8L lens combined with a 2x extender on my 20D (effective focal length: 960mm). I decided that was actually too long because I often couldn't fit the entire plan into the frame. But it's pretty cool to be looking right in the cockpit of the plane as it goes by! :-)

VERY NICE!!! I commented on them. Do you mind me sharing one of mine from this year? Here it is F-18

Dude...those are awesome. Don't worry about hijacking this thread. Post em if you got em. The Oracle aircraft was here today as well and that dude is nuts.

Here are a couple more from today before I crash. (pun intended)

Of course there is no doubt which one is the best and most awe inspiring ... The F-4E Phantom II by far. I may have even flown that one, I'd have to go back and check my flightbook. I have about 2000 flight hours in the Phantom so it has a warm spot in my heart. Thanks for the memories.

Thanks to all for the comments. I will try to add some more today to my portfolio.

Should we beg the SC for an 'Aviation Photography' section when posting our aircraft photos? 'Transportation' is kinda random and 'Sky' doesn't always work. What do ya think? Maybe we could just hijack this thread? (NO PUN INTENDED!)

Speaking of that 'Oracle' airplane -

I luv you man! ;-)

Yeah, couldn't tell if it was an F15 or F18. Figured I had a 50% chance of being correct... LOL!

man I am SO flippin jealous! These images rock, can't wait to see the others when you recover and can process them. I get some shots on the Air Base here in Oki but nothing that even can come close to the stuff on here. They actually probably get a little mad at me cause every time one of the F15s comes rippin by I jump up from my desk to watch it, (I was worse when the F22 was in town) lol.

I heard a rumor here that if you get with the right people they will let you do what was called an incentive flight with (I think) the stratotankers refueling plane, I've been keeping my ears open but being Navy on an Air Force base I really don't deal with them a lot. I'd sure love it.

dwterry...I know what you did last summer ;) Where were those taken? I didn't recognize the base initials. You got some really awesome shots as well.

I wanna be just like you guys when I get older, (I say older cause I refuse to grow up). :)

Go to the Operations Squadron or the Tanker Squadron and ask about an incentive flight. I have been on several and get some pretty cool shots of E-6's and F-14s refueling. My favorite was flying over Saudi and the UAE. Most of those guys would love to take you up.

HAFB = Hill Air Force Base. It's here in Utah, just north of Salt Lake City.
