...as a bubble?!

I just thought I'd explain my "vision" in my submission to the Elements challenge. I had spent all day blowing bubbles at my pokey plant trying to get one to look like it was about to hit it. I was going to originally title it something like "Come on air, don't fail me now." Basically having the bubble praying for lift so it didn't run into the plant and pop. Nothing came out right.

After a few hours the fun of blowing bubbles was beginning to fade and I let out one big blow. Bubbles everywhere! It turned out to be the best from the whole day, but then came the processing. I hated the original colors. I couldn't make them work. Everything looked wrong until I went red. Fire!

It all started to make sense at that point. I had a vision. I was a shiney pretty bubble stuck in bubble hell. Fire surrounded me casting a harsh, hot fire glow on everything. The spikey plant was my doom.

And the title? Beezlebubble! Brilliant...

This has been one of my favorite photos I've ever taken. It bombed with the voters, but I absolutely love it. Especially when you see what it came from.

Awesome! I like.

I really think all the colored lights in the original are cool. I like that one better, but I like your story. Sometimes we just start following that muse and never look off to the sides to see what is going to hit us.

I liked the lights in the bubbles too from the original, but it didn't talk to me. Someone outside of the challenge told me the submission had a very surreal feel, and I think that surrealness is what I love so much.

I thought the picture was well done and it had a Christmas feel to me.
Although I did not relate it to the elements. Your story explains things better. Each picture is a part of who we are and what we will become.

I've ran through Hell once. Even got a T-shirt that says so. They host a 10K and half marathon each year.

They only seem friendly, just wait until you try to leave without buying a souvenir.

Thanks for the story, aliqui. You definitely should put that into the photog's comments. That photo will be on DPC for much longer than anyone remembers this challenge, so it'll be good to share your thinking.

And forget the score. You had a vision and you fulfilled it. Congrats!

Heck ... you didn't even have to leave home to go to Hell, at least I had to go on a few cruises to Hell .... Grand Cayman Islands. Bought the shirt and mailed the post card from Hell. Now, no one from DPC would ever admit that they've been to heaven, everyone here are Hell Raisers and not too many Angels ;)

aliqui enjoyed your story, loved your image.

Wow, I'm really surprised by your score, I think it's a really great shot. Definitely worthy of more than a 5.2.
