Earlier in the evening I felt like I had a bit of food caught in the back of my throat. It doesn't hurt it just feels like I have something stuck there. Well after many hours of drinking stuff and gargling I decided to see what's really going on. Now I just don't know what the hell I'm looking at. There seems to be a yellow "chunk" - maybe an old blister? There's a white spot above it (a current blister?). And I can't tell but there might be a clear sack on the right side that could also be a blister. I get clear blisters all the time between my toes, on my fingers and I've had a few on my eyelids. Anyway, for those who might know- do they look normal?

Come on, who hasn't taken self portraits of their tonsils at 4AM? Right?

Do you have any sinus/nasal problems?

The yellow "chunk" and white spot is probably either food or bacteria (more than usual) in some of the crypts in your tonsils. Its most likely not causing the sensation in the back of your throat. Your tonsils don't look inflamed. They would be larger and redder if they were.

You should see your doctor if the sensation doesn't resolve.

your sensor is pretty dirty.
Other than that, I don't know what the yellow spot is. I used to get white things in that area. They were solid and a little smaller than a piece of white rice and imbedded in the tissue in the back of my throat. I'd remove it(usually I only had one at a time) with a toothpick. I was very careful. Then I'd gargle with a salt water solution. I could feel them rubbing against other tissues when they formed.
