There are around 50 free agents waiting to participate. Can 3 people take the bull by its horns and set up teams? Getting to 72 teams will make a lot of eager photographers happy!

Keeping my fingers crossed.

I'm with ya...let's get to 72. This goes for the people that are splashing around in that pool...just start a team and pull some of those people out of the water, you are starting to wrinkle up!!

I will commit to creating a new team, but I have to finish a deck and wood-fired pizza oven before my daughter's high school graduation on June 9th. I could open the discussion now, but won't be able to do any challenge shooting until after that deck, oven, and graduation open house are done.

I'm trying to catch up on the DPL, but if I'm reading right there is only one or two days to get in or we have to wait until the next season, correct?

That's the way I'm reading it. I hope we get to 72 teams finalized!

Is there a way to tell from a user's profile if they are already on a team? I was going to do some quick recruiting as well as pulling from the freeagent list.

There are some great short term averages in there!! Can't let those go to waste.

I know there is some concern about teams #49 - 71. SC is discussing the best course of action for these, if we don't get to 72.

Thanks, Karma!

Maybe if there are only a few missing teams it would be possible to make up some "fake" teams for the gaps, which could be based on averages or something. The fakes could play a randomly assigned other team.

Yeah. I'm clever me.

Currently there are 45 users in the free agent pool.

A total of 71 teams have been created so far, and 63 of those are finalized.

...should a few hours before the deadline SC place free agents on these teams to fill them out?

This thread gave me the push I needed, so I added team 71, sent out a couple of invites, and started recruiting.

I'm trying to find a group of people interested in people photography and incorporating that into the challenges.

I guess that leaves the need for one more team to be created and a few to finalized.

Maybe one extra push...

Team Discovery is now #65. Still waiting to hear from two additional invitees, but we are good to go, with members from a wide geographical distribution and a variety of subject specialties. Come on, everyone else!

Hope there is a way to get 72 teams finalized before the deadline.

A couple of those teams have been in there since the opening of team creating...I'm betting they will not finalize...which means that if you still want to create a team don't think you can't. Just make sure you finalize before the 72nd team does.

Thanks, Jeffrey! I like the refinements and improvements of the new DPL. Should be a great learning experience for everyone and a pleasant approach to competition.
