I am sure hoping for a five or higher (seeing that I haven't quite acheived this yet)! Hopefully this shot'll do the trick, because honestly, I think it will. Also, eveyone's simplicity's look very nice! Good luck all!
PS I got my highest start so far, a 4.45, I usually get betweena 3.5 and 4.25. It's the small victories that count! I'm learning I guess!

Crap image after showing my GF 3 images all totaly different she went with the one i dislike most....and I went with it.

I really want a ribbon by the end of this year, going to ahve to pull something special out on the next 2

I'm sure you will Jon. Maybe not in the next two, but you certainly have the eye, and the technique. And a serious camera now too ...

Now I am at 5.3429, an hour before I was at 5.2333 - I would like to stay above 5.000 :-) I don't think it would go above 5.5000, anyway, that would sound nice to tell the truth. :-)

I'm hoping for at least 5.8 or better. I think this is my best entry so far, but there are a lot of good entrys too, this time. We'll see.

this is to onesweetsin. i just got one of those emails at work that gets forwarded all over the place and it contained a picture of your cat with the lime on its head. i knew i saw that picture before. it was one of those emails that says something like funnies pics of the year or something.

I went with a simple idea, so I'm guessing something like a 2 mabey alittle better, but I doubt it.

I predict I will continue to score incrementally higher than the last challenge! I start off with a 6.1. I couldnt believe it since the competition is pretty stiff this time around. It's gone down since then & now it's on it's way back. Hopefully it will stay at 6 and continue to rise!
Just worried about the next challenge in which I would have to score higher! It's getting harder... and I love it.
Eventually, I will get better and more creative and maybe even win a ribbon somewhere down the line. For now, I still have much to learn and improve upon. But I think I'm getting better with each challenge which is what I'm here for!
On another note, I feel I'm getting to know other members photography. I'm making mental notes on which shots I think belong to. I even picked the winner of the last open challenge. Anyone else play such guessing games?

There is a shot that I think I recognize both the prop and the lighting from another couple of photos.... but it's driving me nuts because try as I may to find the other photos, I can't, and I don't remember who the photographer is. Of course I can't say any more cause I don't want to give away which shot belongs to which shooter, assuming I'm right.
Know what I mean?

Sure do! We'll have our assumptions corrected or affirmed at the end of the challenge. It's just that since joining, I'm paying more attention to styles and (at least in my mind) feel that I recognise the fotog. It's kinda cool, well, until I find out O was wrong! hehehe!
But till then I'm having fun with it.

I started at 7.0 and am now at 6.54...I hope to stay 6.0 or more...

My score has been as high as 6.2 and low as 5.6 .. I am expecting to finish at around 5.8/5.9

If I hadn't been retarded and spent a bit more time on the post-processing part, I'd be doing better. I hope I can break the 5.0 barrier, currently I'm at a 4.9 (and have been pretty much from the start).
I'm really disappointed cause I like how it turned out, but all the comments I've recieved say the same things, and obviously, if I'd done what they say, I would be doing better. -_- And they're all right, and it's mostly stuff that crossed my mind at one point or another, but I didn't have the time to do, or totally forgot it. Bah.
