Right now I am in the Free Agent Pool but I was thinking of starting a team. I know of at least two of us that would be interested. (Right Tiff?) Anyone else out there want to join us? No need to have a high average. I just want a team of people who are willing to help one another to be better at these challenges and photography in general.

SAHM= Stay at home moms. (But we would be open to Stay at home dads, work at home moms etc)

Here is who we have so far.

Oh course that qualifies. We just need 4 more people and we will have a group. I will start updating the original post with more information.

Thanks!!!!

I'm interested in joining a team, but I'm not a stay at home anything. I am a graduate student working on my PhD, but I use photography to ease my stress level.

I'm a freelance artist that stays home sometimes. I'm guessing DNMC - I'll move on... :-(

I was really looking for Stay at home parents. That way we would have something in common.

You guys should start a team!!! With 101 people in the free agent pool there should be no problem finding people.

I have updated the original post. We are still looking for 2-3 more people.

Here is a bump for the morning crowd.

I started the team offically. So far there are 3 of us. I went threw the free agent pool and sent out 2 invitations. If anyone else is still interested let me know.

I tried to make a logo. HA HA!!! It will work for now I guess. I am not very good at those kind of things.

If anyone out there would like to help to make something better please feel free to help.

I haven't shot for a challenge in at least six months but I've been meaning to start again. I miss the community and the excitement, even if I know I'll never in a million years ribbon. If I get picked up for team SAHM (for which I definitely qualify, as my stress level today would indicate :), I will do the Member thing again, at least a month at a time until I can swing the $25 for a year.

Consider yourself invited!!! I will send you the link in just a minute. I am not looking for people with perfect scores or ribbon winners. All we are looking for is a group of people to work with and to grow with. All we ask is that you participate.

I have updated the list on the first post. We still need one more person so I can finalize the group. I would like to get this done before the number of groups hits 48. I think it is up to 39 right now. That way we know we get a spot.

I am also taking suggestions on a group name. Any suggestions????

Also we still need a team logo but we can work on that after we get a name.

YAHOO, I just accepted the invitation. The funny thing is, when I joined the free agent pool, I was thinking it would be really great to find a group with all woman who are at home, like me. How cool to get the invite.
This should be fun.

By the way, we are now finalized :)

Thank you, that is wonderful. We still have room for two alternates if anyone else is interested.

Now, everyone else on DPC needs to get there act together and make the last 8 teams so we don't loose our spot. LOL!!!

How about just TEAM SAHM?

When I picture a logo I picture, say, a woman with a laundry basket and maybe a broom, with a toddler dangling from her arm and a camera around her neck. But I am so not a graphics-design person and also I have no practical idea how to make such an image understandable at a small size.

OK, I just got an idea but I've no idea if I can pull it off. Maybe I'll try tomorrow. If you don't mind, of course! It'll be fun to see if I can get back into the swing of setting up a shot and making it come out the way I want. I haven't in ages.

I think we will just keep the name Team SAHM. Unless we come up with something more clever. I like your idea for a logo. I wish I could make something but my design skills are very limited. Pretty much limited to the clipart images I can find.LOL! Let me know what you come up with.

Just a thought for a name ladies, how about "The Domestic Digital Divas'?
05/09/2007 10:12:02 AM · #21
Ha ha, I like the Diva thing. We could be the triple D's for short :)
6r just go with Digital Diva's and be Double D :0
Funny play on words.

Oh, I like Domestic Digtal Diva's. I think Digital Diva's would work better though. We could make a great logo with that one. LOL!!

I am going to go ahead and change it now. We can keep changing the name untill the teams close in 4 days. I think we have untill after that to change the logo.

LOL! Domestic and digital are me, but whoo I am so not a diva. :) Whatever everyone else decides is fine, but just one thought on plain Digital Divas -- there's no mention of anything that references SAHM-hood in it, if that matters.

I just wanted to say: it's good to be blue again! :)

I just realized that my vacation may interfere with this DPL thing. I'll be gone for ten days in June, and I don't *think* I'll be able to access photo-editing software or upload pictures from my camera to, well, anywhere. I don't have a laptop. Although you can bet I'll try. :) Do we have to participate in every challenge for the whole season?

OK, I think I may have found an at-least workable solution via www.picnik.com. As long as the computers at the library have USB ports for my card reader, that is. :)
