A quick bump, any thoughts if multiple shots (pano) in each frame would be ok

What the hell is a pano?

perhaps, but rules only allow you to use "up to 3" separate photos for this challenge, so a multiple pano triptych would likely be DQ'd

Not one of those things that most DPCers will have run into. Best bet is to use the contact page and ask the SC.

Bingo. You can use up to three captures, total. That means that a single pano, composed of three images, would be acceptable, but not one composed of more than one image per frame.

Another question - When submitting into Triptych and you are using separate photos, which details do you fill out on submission - does it really matter. I am guessing that some people may even shoot on different days.

I would pick the main photo (or first one) and use the details for that. You could post the details for the other photos in the Photographer's Comments box. For my HDR image in Landscape III I put the details of the centre exposure in.

Hi all,

I'm working my butt off to find a way to present a Triptych image without being DQ...

I know that I need 3 images... one main and two sides...
Now my question is how do I make one image out of these three ?....
Can I make a montage for example with PhotoShop to combine the images then present them with the info on only the main (center) one....?

Cheers

I'll try to answer both simultaneously. First, about details. When you fill out the aperture, ISO, & shutter speed you could leave them blank and put the information for the individual shots into the details section. Those data fields are not mandatory, though putting in the information is always nice; it helps viewers to learn.
Second, when combining your images, create a canvas large enough to arrange your images and place them in on different layers. Move them to arrange as you want, flatten, resize as required for submission and save. There are a number of different ways to make it work, the above is of course only a very general outline.
