Just what is a free study does it mean any type of picture

Yep, shoot whatever you want!

Its totally cool to ask questions! You got it right, Free Study means any sort of picture. There is no actual "theme" or "topic" to the challenge, so you can enter any subject or style of photo you wish, so long as it is in compliance with the challenge rules! (this relates to editing and dates)

Yes - It is an challenge that you can enter any type of photo as long as it meets the editing requirements. There is no theme to the challenge.

However since you have an ENTIRE MONTH to shoot. Many people expect the image to be of a higher caliber/quality than your average challenge.

My experience is that you really have to step your game up to compete in Free Studies.

And when all else fails shoot hot chicks, but keep some (very little but enough to cover any goodies) clothes on.

Since I had the same question when I joined, and this is easily the fifth or sixth time I've seen someone post it, could we maybe add "Take of picture of anything" to the free study challenge description? Maybe "free study" has some meaning in the art world, but especially to those of us new to this, it's meaningless.
