Does anyone know if you can retrieve a lost serial number for Photoshop elements? My friend gave me a copy of his and he can't find it now. I wondering if there's a number to call or anything available to get it? I'm desperate!

Thanks!

I lost mine a while back and downloaded Belarc Advisor and when I printed the results I found the missing numbers there.

Hope that helps.

I lost track of an Adobe sofware serial number a couple of months ago. I went to www.adobe.com and searched around -- I eventually found a phone number to call. I can't remember how I found the number or who I talked to, but the Adobe people were actually quite helpful.

It's a good thing to register all your software on their website, by the way.

Cheers,

you can try to find a key generator on-line. I am sure there is one somewhere.

BelArc Advisor only works if the software is installed on your machine, which takes a serial number to do. It's a way of seeing what serial number you used to install the program, but you need to have already input the serial number for it to work.

What version of Elements is this? I have an unregistered copy around here somewhere I could look for.

What if you have the code. Yet never registered. Can you still upgrade to CS2 OR 3 with just the code? (I have ps7)

I upgraded to CS2 from PS7 and I never register my software. Another SPAM-phobe.

Belarc only works if the software is currently installed on a machine with the serial number desired.

Illegal but saying that might make me a hypocrite.

The wonderful spam i received from Adobe would be, E-Mail letting me know that Lightroom beta was available, Another a few months later telling me its my last chance to get the release for 199. Its not that bad of spam!

Of course not. But if you can its not a bad idea to get a spam address. I own my own server so I can create and delete @RainMotorsports.com address's at will. A Yahoo or GMail accoutn would probly work well.

90% of all non legit spam comes from having your email adress physically written on a page somewhere on the internet. SPiders crawl the pages looking for email address's.

Many sites overcome this by a contact/email me page (like our pm's but with a different reason) Others have gone as far as to have the mail to link the end result of a php script which works well. If you want it visible but not crawlable you make the email address link a gif image with it written, text spiders cant read this and then you tie the image tot he php script. They could do that here but they dont.
