First submission ever on this site. Pushing really close to a 5... would be nice to break it. The score is getting killed by some who don't "get" the image, while others do and are giving 6-10s. Just goes to show you can't please all of the people all of the time. :(

Well I just got slammed with a couple of ones, or at least some very lows and maybe a bump down from a previous voter. Just dropped quite a bit all at once. Still a long week.

Congrats SandyP. That is an awsome score. I hope is stays or goes up. My poor lifeless bug is bouncing around a 4.2 - 4.3. |

it's creeping up today.
yesterday was 6.18++ which was dropped from 6.32++
kinda drastic drop. Glad it's bounching back. |

Amazing! I must be dreaming because for the moment it keeps going up. Now, its at 6.96
I actually think my entry is kind of ordinary so I'm so surprised that it is doing so well. But then, whenever I think I have a kick-butt photo, it barely squeaks by in the "also ran" heap.
Woo hoo! But of course. . .it is still very early -- lots of time for my customary drop at the end of the week.

Mine topped out at about 6.5 and is in the 6.3 range. Oh well.... I like it. ;~D

Although I'm doing pretty well, 6.2 to 6.3 range, I can't help but wonder if I could be doing better based on a few strange comments. As an example:
Comment:
..... might have cropped left off to remove the blurry bit on the top ....
Now I guess they could be talking about "framing" while taking the photo but if they are talking editing crop then I likely was marked down because they did not know this was a minimal editing challenge, i.e. no cropping.
I'll hope for the former interpretation.

That's why I'm enjoying this while it lasts. . .because I know how that goes, and it has happened to me so many times, I just kind of expect it as the week wears on.
