Does anyone now a good place to have digital images developed? I'm having a problem finding a place that will do 10.5 x 13.5" print size.

Over here most good camera developing places do good digital "wet" prints at a fair price.. ask around at your local camera/developing shops.

Would you be interested in seeing this print done on an inkjet printer? If so, let me know.. I would be interested in giving it a try. I recently purchased a printer that will handle up to 13X19 paper size and I would like to give it a try at that size...

What did you get? I have been using epson printers for quite a while with great results, besides the epson watermark on the back of the print poeple can't tell even with a loop. I have sold quite a few prints off of them and done a good number of photo restorations using them as the final printer. I work for Wolf Camera in Atlanta and have been able to compare the same print off of alot of printers, even the printer we use in the lab has full digital printing capabilitie up to 8x12 using the same wet process as the rest of the film, and to be honest in most cases I like my epson prints better.

I've been using Ofoto for about two years and have been pretty happy, although I'm not super-critical about color anyway. For "family" photos they are great -- unlimited storage, address book, etc., and I've received good customer service when necessary. Prints available up to 20x30" ($20); really the only important options missing I can think of are matte prints and quantity discounts (but they often have other discount offers).

There's also a complete review of online printing services (and photo inkjets) in the current (June 02) MacWorld -- some of the other services were rated even higher.

I know that Ofoto uses Kodak paper; Shutterfly uses Fuji. They will usually give you a few free prints when you sign up or refer people, so it only costs a couple of bucks (for shipping) to try them out.

I didn't spring for the 6-color epson but I know that's a great printer.... I got the HP 1220c and I'm quite happy with it for the most part...

I use an Epson 6 color printer. The quality is pretty darn good, but I have noticed that the paper yellows quite quickly when exposed to flourescent lighting. Does anyone have any suggestions about this?

In northern California, Wolf Camera or Ritz Camera often produce nice prints. You may also want to look through photography magazines, such as Outdoor Photographer. There's usually many ads of shops or companies that will except out of state/city orders. Make sure you are clear on what you want to do, to every detail. Try bringing an example so you can at least say, "I want this picture to come out exactly like this."

I just bought a Lexmark Z65, even though I've heard the bad remarks. I'm not so sure why so many are trashing it because it prints nice photographs. You really have to be careful what program you print from, the paper you print on and the dpi because yes, these factors will produce different results. But for me who's on a budget, this printer does a decent job and to my pleasant surprise, prints very quickly. The ink is expensive though!

they only go up to 8x10, but walmart.com has very reasonable prices and does a good job. at least, I was satisfied with the output I received.

I'm not happy with Wal Mart's service personally. They charge digital photos as reprints, rather than regular prints as they do with film. The result is an order of 50 photos with doubles costing around $50. This happened to me last year when I sent them my prom photos on CD to develop. I work there though, and managed to talk my way down to about $15 (in addition, it took about 4 weeks for them to figure out how to develop the prints from the CD~part of the reason I got the price so cheap)

They may be better for large size prints....if they can figure out how to do them in a reasonable amount of time.

I just got some prints from Walmart.com and all I can say is, AMAZING!

Ordered em Tuesday night, they were shipped Wednesday and they arrived on Friday or Saturday (I was away this weekend and got em today).. Fast.. But I only ordered 2 4x6s and 2 8x10s to check em out. I will definitely be ordering from them again.
