My last words on the subject;

Matto response to my last post & Artysle last post is where I'm comming from.

I'm personally not into the Expert Editing rule set, I'm not saying make it go away. Just give me an option.

As far as Tooship, you & I have been here awhile, I should have the right to voice my opinion & not be considered as a cop out or complaining. As you have voiced you opinion strongly in this thread, I should be able to voice my 2cents worth.

My question was more for the Free Study and what the voters will look for. Being that it's wide open and anything can be entered. I was just curious if they will be looking for heavily edited pictures.

As for the Landscape challenge, I'm all for it and have my idea. Just need to go shoot now.

I, personally, will specifically be looking for an other-worldly image of a part woman, part animal, with scorpions for hair, half immersed in greenish colored mercury as the jumbo sized moon backlights the whole scene. Bonus point if there is an abstract image within the image of the London Eye.

I suspect other voters will have similar expectations.

I guess you'd better get started then, Ken! :-)

Crap! Did I just give away my entry??

On a serious note, I would hope that people set aside their biases during voting and afterward just analyze all of the results of all of the expert editing challenges and see how "digital art" actually fairs against more realistic photographs. Even I, for some reason, am not inclined to "go to town" in photoshop in any expert editing challenge. Worse thing I did in the "Change" challenge was to sever my hand. Other than that I think it would be legal in Advanced.

Just let this play out and my hope is that expert and minimal *yuk* editing will be a once a month thing in a variety of member and open challenges.

I will be looking for images with Kilt wearing Scottish poet warriors riding plaid tuxedo clad flying monkees into battle.
