If it's any comfort, you are not alone in your ignorance.

Who is he, and what is so important about him? I tried googling him to see if there was a recen news article or something, but didn't come up with anything at all. Any ideas?

nothing in google, yahoo, Ask, Answer, Wikipedia, so I will have to wait for some enlightenment ;)

Perhaps he exercised himself to death. I am curious to hear what this is about. We should have had a fitness challenge in honor of Richard Simmons. ;o)

*waiting for the admins to weigh in and tell us who this really is, and why this challenge is in his memory...

Well, if this is him, it's haunting to read his About Me page. Seems like he had a lot of living yet to do. :(

how sad :( I would like to know the meaning as well.
A tragically ironic quote from his 'about me' page, "It all pays off in the end, unfortunitly the end is far from near."

Possibly a friend of D and L? Anyway, hope he's in a nice place now. ;~D

I went to that page, and it just tells us who he is. Did he pass away at war? Too sad if it were so...

The link is not working now - but I would like a bit of info on who this is.

Please

Yesterday, March 27th was the one year annivesary of Nathan's death, so Langdon definitely had a good reason for scheduling this challenge as a tribute.

I usually spend very little time if any researching a challenge theme, but this thread caught my eye and I too did not find any info via Google. Thanks to those DPCer's who provided the link to his "about me" page. From there I learned he was born in Utah so automatically I was interested as this is where I live. Maybe we'll get some more information regarding the connection to DPC but for now it's sad to learn of the passing of a passionate young life.

The link is still working for me, but I agree- I'd like to know more (or if this is the correct guy).

That being said- I guess it doesn't matter, does it? I mean if the challenge details said "In memory of my father" would anyone push for details on that man's life? No, we would assume the father had an interest in Fitness, send our regards, and do our best in the challenge.

Since no more information has not been offered to us, I say we let it go, respect the solemnity of the dedication.
Just my opinion though.

I wish I could find something on him - there is no obit on Yahoo and the link here leads only to a webpage that appears to be kept up but with no reference to a death.

If he did pass, it truly is sad - he was so young. I'd just like to put more meaning into the challenge if I knew a bit more.

I dont want to hijack this thread, but where can one purchase the Xbox360 elite, it looks bad-ass, and Ive been wanting a 360 anyway.

Edit--

It says dvd playback w/upscaling, is that just an upconvert player, it really doesnt mention HD-DVD.

Hey, try saying "I don't want to win a ribbon, but I'll enter this shot." If you're half as good at not doing that as you are at not hijacking the thread, you're a shoo-in! ;)
