Does this seem a little strange to anyone but me?

Seems perfectly normal to me, especially if you were born and raised in Michigan.

Reminds me of the drive through liquor stores in Ohio.

Once in a restaurant - small diner type style - there was sign: an arrow pointing to restrooms, then right next to it - was everything alright?

Whenever I remember that meal, I have a good chuckle.

We have those in Michigan too. Only we call them "party stores".

I got an email recently with a photo of a big tower with three signs on it ... the top and bottom signs were for Toys "R" Us and Babies "R" Us -- in between was a sign for Hooters ...

I'm in Detroit ... we don't have places like that around here ... so yeah, it does seem strange ... must be an 'up north' thing!

In Michigan you can buy beer and wine at gas stations, grocery stores, drive through-stores, you name it.

Arizona too. You can buy liquor in the corner Circle K or 7-11.

There was once a gun and carpet store in St. Clair Shores, MI in the suburbs of Detroit.

About 20 years ago on Mack and Rosedale, It was called Gly's gun and Carpet. I went to school with a guy whose dad owned the place.

I guess that's better than a gunshop and a bar together.

There's also a gunshop in Fenton called Guns Galore. I always thought that was an interesting name.

I used to pass a place every day called Bob's Bait & Sandwiches. I always wondered which was which and how they knew the difference.
