When your looking through the view finder to take photos, which eye doyou use?
I myself use my right eye, it just seems more comfortable for me. |

I'm left-eye-dominant. My father tried for years to retrain me, but finally gave up & let me do things my way. I cross-sight when I shoot a gun, bow&arrow, etc.... and yeah, camera too.

Yeah ... my left eye is better than my right eye so it gets used the most for one eyed things ... it makes for extra noseprints on my camera's LCD display. HEH

I use my right eye and I am right handed, not sure if there is any relationship there.

| I didn't actually notice that I am left-eye-dominant until a few weeks ago when I was on a shoot with Shalrath and he made an off-hand comment about me using my left eye. I've tried on and off since to use my right eye but it simply feels odd.... |

| Left eye for me, too. Not sure if it resulted from my habit, during my teen-age years, of hiding behind my fringe... My left eye is certainly the stronger of the two, but both are deteriorating at a rather alarming rate. |

I use my right eye most of the time, however I have used my left when the situation warrants.

| Isn't a DSLR a left eyed device, I mean better nose prints on the LCD cover than pushing control buttons. |

Well, I thought I used my right eye but the other day I realized I use my LEFT!! My nose hits the LCD EVERY time... dunno why, I am right eye dominant...
Like  ordinaryangel, I have been trying to make myself look with the right but she is right, it does feel funny. LOL |

I know I need new glasses. Should I make the switch to contacts? I don't think I ever saw perfectly clear with contacts, but it might be easier when using a camera.
I really want to get that surgery but I am already over 40 and will end up needing reading glasses anyway.

...Maybe not. I had the surgery and am now a tad over 60 and still don't wear glasses (yet) :O)

get the new VR contacts with zoom

I think the VR contacts only come as bright as a f/5.6 so it makes night driving difficult.

I myself use my left eye. I had my eyes checked a couple of months ago and found out something that was interesting. My left eye is 20/20 whereas my right eye is like 19/20 (far sighted), has astigmatism, and has a membrane on my retina that makes light seem dimmer in it. Consequently when I am taking pictures for a while I have to take a break and kinda stare off into the distance otherwise I'll feel sick.

| it was interesting to realize i'm very left-eyed. my eyes are equally myopic and i am massively right-handed and right-footed. and otherwise, i'm pretty split between science and arts. |

Fringe? The bits of hair at the front of your head that hang down over your forehead, and in my case a long side fringe. Aren't they called fringes in the States? |

Can't beat the Canon version with IS - they are amazing after a night on the tiles!
