I guess that means I can never take part in a GTG ..... :(
That's a shame, cuz if I ever got the chance, I'd love to meet some fellow DPCers.

why should you worry about that? get out there, shoot some photos, and show them that you're shots are on par :p that will make them cringe with irritation, heh!

yup on the wisc GTG my wife brought the kodak and I brought the canon. yeah you might drool at the other cameras. But 9 times out of 10 the others will let you swap lenes and bodies to try it out. and it is one hell of a good time no matter.

I was totally kidding. ;) The comment just popped into my head as I blearily stare at the screen, waiting on child #2 to greet the world. :)

I'd abolutely take a P&S to a GTG. It's not about the camera.

I will! As long as I get to play with the in-camera features, that is :D
Ack, but I only have a P&S to swap, sowwy.

Oh yeah, it's March already, isn't it? (and it's going to be a girl.)

Sheesh, Crayon, that's just sick! She's not even born yet!

A bucket of ice water here, please, for Crayon's raging hormones? :)

Has there even been a GTG in our corner of the continent?

I think anyone that wants to go should. I am not sure if the OP was in jest or not but keep in mind that there will always be someone with bigger and or better. you show up with a nice 70-200 2.8 and someone shows up with a 200 1.8, doesn't make your stuff less. BeeCee kicks my but with her P&S. Although if we were going to fight people with them as clubs I would recommend a Dslr, preferably a pro series Nikon or Canon:)

good idea. i think i would rather get hit with my camera than my tripod:) and now that i think about it you could throw a P&S further and with more velocity so that could be a good weapon too:)

I'd personally rather use my 1D and the 24-70L I'm not sure anyone wants to be on the recieving end of that thing if/when it connects.
