probably. but so will your camera if youre thinking about selling it. So I guess the whole scale just kinda slides....

I'm not. I prefer a good OVF to any EVF or LCD.

If nobody wanted live view they would have put it on a consumer slr. I understand why most of you want the viewfinder but they wouldnt push it to the extreme pro end if they didnt think it was a selling point to someone. |

Well obviously its a selling point, regardless of who the camera is marketed too. Yes, it'd be a nice feature to have and drives the price of the camera up, but like I said, I'm not exactly drooling over that, especially when taking into consideration the possibility of a clean ISO 6400 in camera...

On the same side of the argument its cool to have the OPTION. Ive been in a couple of cramped situations with my SLR LIKE where the new Fujis flipup screen would hav e made the shot easier..... Then again a Real SLR with a wide angel lense would have also solved the issue! |

Yes, but at the same time, assuming my assumption is correct, 'that the camera would be cheaper without it,' I think I'd rather save a few bucks instead of having live view.

Heh i want an SLR with live view that isnt Olympus. I hate Olympus's High ISO noise issues. Ill never own anothe rone again. SO yeah a Nikon D60 with live view is good in my opinion at say 800 bucks. |

I've never understood why the 1D series didn't use the full-frame sensor instead of the 1.3x |

cost, sacrifice of speed. If you have more data on a larger sensor, it takes longer to move that around...

Speed I'll grant you, but cost, when talking about a $4000 camera doesn't count for much to me. If you're springing $4K, what's an hundred or two for the 35mm...
I can't complain, though.. when I bought my XT it tapped me out for cash. :P |

It isn't cost, its speed. Still can't get the data out fast enough |

Personally, I don't think the 1d series would benefit significantly from a full frame sensor.

There's plenty of PJs who like wide angle though. |
