I just bought my first woodies the other day. First experiments so far have been with my homemade light box that I made the same day...

Strangely enough I have been seeing ads for these ALL OVER the web lately. These are good and pretty cheap.

I got mine at a local art chain called ArtMedia.

I got a 4.5" for like $7 and an 8" for $8.

I was going to get a family (male and female 8" and a 4.5" child), but they were out of females.

Since these are my first, I wasn't aware of some of their motion limitations... like the fact that their hip joints don't move. You have fore and back motion in the legs, but nothing lateral. (e.g. spread legs)

You've been doing that a lot lately. You should just get one of those rubber mouth guard things or you're really gonna have a sore tongue...

What can I say.. it's hard to make a woody sit cross-leg when their legs won't spread. ;)

Seems to me that some people are finding it hard to get a woody at all
01/24/2007 07:58:30 AM · #16
In the US:

Michael's (a craft type store)- has male and female and child
JoAnn Fabrics
any ART store
Border's book store
Oh yeah like mucky said-- Ikea
all have woodies, if i remember any other place that I've picked up a woody at, I'll let you know....

PLUS you can get them online at a variety of places
