Just curious, but (in your best guess) how many shots did you take in 2006? I bought my Rebel XT in November 2005, and I noticed yesterday my latest files are around 8700. So I'm guessing I took around 7500 - 7800 pictures in 2006. I don't want to even begin to guess how many of those were good pix, because that might be depressing. :o) So let's hear it!

Hmm, I didn't shoot much last year so going by what my file count is up to around 4-5,000.

ETA: Last year as in 2005. I forgot it's already 2007! Geez.

@ 26shots per roll @ $7.00/roll would have been $3309 in processing w/ film. Thats some savings.

Which explains why the economics of the film/picture industry got so tossed up... this would be known as a disruptive technology for the old line film companies (makers, processors, etc...).

I took something like 13000 pictures.

best guess from checking images i have here (late oct 05 - early nov 06) puts the count somewhere around 10,000 shutter clicks.

i'm guessing that's around 10 good photos...

In my 2006 Folder, w/112 sub-folders: Started at file number 5,751, rolled over the numbers once and ended with 6,154.
Grand total of 10,402 for 2006, keeping 7,634 of them.
approximately :)

Less (about 90%) than I averaged in recent years. Ask me how many times I raised the viewfinder to my eye and didn't press the shutter button.

105.9 GB...or around 12,209...more than a third of those or 4,918 during the 2 weeks I was in Kenya...

...and out of those I'd say I have maybe 40 that I really really like...a 0.3% keeper rate...eek!

With a 16MP camera, I don't blame you. I know hard drives are getting cheaper by the day, but firing away like Rambo could get tedious with your camera. I could stand doing that myself--more editing BEFORE I go "click".

Just from my picture's numbering - I'd say about 1000... but that's from August (when I bought it) to December... not a lot of keepers, though!

An interesting question. Much less than in 2005, that's for sure. the actual count is about 2,050 for 2006. I do have to say that my "keeper percentage" is so much higher it's not even funny, so that number is somewhat misleading. Still, I do need to get myself out the door and shoot more.

19,000 not counting those that I deleted. But I don't delete much.
