It seems people either love or hate the trial Minimal Editing rules.

I think it will be fun to try and perfect as much as possible in the camera.

Anyone want to start a 30-day challenge? I was thinking maybe in a month or so whe the 30-day self portrait challenge is over.

We could modify the 30-day rules a bit if anyone is interested.

That sounds like fun! I like the minimal editing idea!

I love that these side challenges exist but I'm not sure why '30-day' is the choice... they always seem to go on too long, exhaust the players and lose the viewers' interest. For me, a fortnight would be maximal for a minimal challenge ;-)

I agree ... I like the rules ... I am an OLD SCHOOL photographer ... but how about 7 day challenge to test the waters?

OK, a seven day one might be better then. When does everyone want to start?

I am very keen for this challenge. I love the minimal editing rules. Count me in. I also like the idea of a 7 day challenge. I am ready to start when everyone else is

I would try a 7-day minimal editing challenge but not now. On Feb 1st there are a ton of us starting the "Where You Live" 30-day challenge. Between that, my photo-a-day blog and this site I won't have time.

Ditto that! I would love to try a 7 day challenge and after the FEB "Where you live" challenge is over.

Alright, so I guess we should probably start it in March some time, so more people will have the time.

Count me in whenever, I like the minimal editing rule too!

March 9 works.

Count me in, too! A seven day challenge is just the right length for my first foray into the realms of side-challenges.

So will this be a 7-day or a 30-day challenge? I will try a 7 day challenge.

I think 7 days should be the minimum. :)

I agree, why don't we make it an even number and do two weeks (14 days)
02/27/2007 02:31:53 PM · #24
7 days I can do :)

I love the minimal editing ruleset :)

7 days would be great, but i wonder if its enough? .. i reckon two weeks would be a better amount of time, which is only my opinion, but i think it takes a couple/few days to actually get in the swing ... we're going to be finishing the 30 day in two days ... when would this one start ...
should be interesting for me to go for a minimal editing one, being the photoshop idiot that i am!! ... i think this would be a great way for me to learn more about my camera and photographic techniques in general ...
