I messed up on my PP.
Here's my entry:

And here's what I should have entered.
or

I'm sure my score would have be (a bit) higher with either one of these...

Thanks to everyone who commented on my pic.

The center is a little to strong.

I did dodge out the center of the flower and like it a lot better.

This is my first attemp with a light box. I'm happy with how I placed, but want to do better next time.

I was going to submit this (without the border), but changed my mind ... : (

I had a flower shot in first but went with my daughter instead. I had one variation on the edit that I thought may have been too dark fro the challenge.

Nice shot! I can 'kinda' see why they said that but if they looked close enough, the shapes don't even match. Voters can be pretty picky!
I like it!

I see some banding/lines in the shadows.
sorry if this is out of topic, but is it due to the RAW conversion?

Thanks again to everyone who voted and commented on my shot for this challenge.

Here are a couple of the outakes

My outtake was more of a "lets see what a bit more editing does". And two extra steps made my background whiter and my pastels more pastel. I think the outtake was better than my entry.

No, all my shots are JPEG from the start (no RAW in my my camera).

I wasn't thinking of this challenege when I shot this -- I was just "documenting" our findings on the beach. This was shot on the dining room table, using an overhead light fixture with about five bulbs in it, creating multiple shadows. These were accentuated by the rather extreme tone curves used to get it kind-of white. Here's a resized original:

I messed up on this one big time. This is the pic that I wanted to enter, but I kept saying over and over that the image had to be light "color" on white. I don't know how I would have done with this one, but there are a lot of light bulbs out there....

I would be interested in your opinions.

I like this shot, as I am a fan of "a simple subject on white" photos. However, I would have voted lower in the light on white challenge because I was looking for light color. Thinking about it though, I would have to read the challenge description to see if this would meet the challenge.
