hi guys iwe been looking around for rather cheap printer/scanner for my schoolwork and hobbys and i was wondering what you think about the HP Photosmart HPPSC4180?

it costs here around 191 usadollar, the guy in the store recomended it but i was thinking of buying Canon Pixma MP150 that costs around 132 usadollars here.

i like canon as a brand :p

i dont know though how much color cartridges costs and well i cant afford much since i dont have a job and am waiting for a rehabilitation assesment thingy but i partitipated in a christmas Bazar here and sold for around 150 usa dollars :D im very proud of me for doing that.

but yes. the question is realy witch should i get? what are the pros and cons? or how ever it is said and written ( english is my third language its 2 am, and im on sedative medications) :P

Found a site that says the Canon uses these cartridges:

PG-40 Black FINE Cartridge
CL-41 Color FINE Cartridge

Not sure what they would cost in your part of the world. I've seen nothing but positives for Canon printers, some say Epson are better(on the high end), but at this level they're pretty much all the same, IMO.

edit - forgot to say, HP always seems to have the most expensive cartridges to me, for no better quality.

Personally, I find most combo units to be quite cheap and unsuitable in most cases. They're not as good as the sum of the individual parts. They try to be everything to all people and fail to be great at any any of them. My 2 cents.
