She hid it away in my bedroom so nobody can. And no, *I* don't want to open it! (Think they'll notice that it doesn't look like the original packing job??)

Last Sunday I got up at 4:00 am and was at Circuit City at 5:30 am, there was already a line. They had told me the night before that they had 12 Wii's and we were 10 in line. Felt great until 7:30 am when the manager came to the door and handed out only 9 Wii vouchers. They had only received 9 instead of 12. We were out of luck by one unit.

We went to ebgames and gamestop, no Wii's. Finally we went to Target and their was a line. Since I was out went a head and got in line and was able to get the Wii for my two boys. They had 10 units and I was 9th in line. They let us in prior to opening by about 5 minutes and had two security escorts to escort us to the electronic section where we stood in line for the Wii.

I hate the way they are doing these console launches.

Do you not think the factories in China are more than capable of upping production by 500% ?

<sniff ... sniff> The wife "bought" me the Wii for Christmas, but of course, they've been sold out since well before Christmas. Everyday I call like 5 stores ... and everyday they say, "We don't have any and we don't know when we'll be getting them".

Nobody's allowed to have fun with it until I get one ... got that!?

We have both the Wii and the PS3. Honestly, the Wii get more use. I cannot wait for Wii Play to come out Monday. Good thing I have the day off! We always needed and extra controller, and it comes with one.

Geist is fun, though we kinda got stuck. We're stuck in the house and can't find a way out. I wonder how it plays on the Wii.

XBOX 360 rocks the PS3 & Wii.

PS3 has blue ray...wooptie. Now you get to re-purchase all the movies you already own on DVD.

Wii has the interaction. Pretty cool but doesn't make the grade.

XBOX 360 - XBOX Live, Achevievements, Watch all the DVD's you already own, Over 100 Games in HD.

Sony lost the battle in Nov 2005 with the Microsoft release of the 360. Even after a year, Sony still can't deliver the systems.

Once again, people keep sheeping out to the corporations and making everything a war.

Mac vs. PC.
Canon vs. Nikon vs. everyone else
XBox vs. PS3 vs. everyone else.
Ford vs. Chevy

The list goes on and on... and all it is is people not being able to have a mind of their own, giving in to asshat marketing, and trying to be better than anyone else.

Needs to stop.

Why can't people just enjoy what they own and stop making it a popularity contest?
YEESH.

I hear ya...But I look at a little different. At least personally, I want to hear why they love it. And don't love it. If they can convince me, than I will be happier and hopefully make a wiser decision. Fact of the matter is, things are better than others.

In the XBOX case, I have never been on that bandwagon, but I am sure its great. But I have yet to be convinced. But the efforts to excite are duly noted...

The *FACT* of the matter is that nothing is ever really *better*. It's different. It works differently, it might be better built, or display better graphics...

but "better" on technical level very rarely translates into "better" on a subjective personal level.

I do agree that it's nice to get opinions and reviews and the like.. but "BRAND X kicks ass, I love it so much, it's teh BEST!@"
is hardly worth anything :)

So if I countered, "I know what I am talking about because I am a *better* photographer", you would say "No, just different"?

Seriously though, I truly believe there are scales of bad-fair-good-better-best in all things. And not just
subjective judgements.

However, some people will willingly buy "lesser" items for personal, peculiar reasons. Look at people who still play NES for instance.....there are many caveats. And to that we both agree.

I absolutely would counter with "No, just different".
Photography is incredibly subjective.

Just as examples.. I don't believe that librodo, or kiwiness, or larus, or any other DPC multi-ribbon winner is truly any *better* a photographer than, say, bucket, or jenesis, or hell, even myself, or yourself.

I believe they have more experience, more motivation, have learned more, and have a more popular style.. but I don't believe they are inherently "better".. see what I mean?

That's just my belief though. I'll have 300 people on me really quick to "prove" me wrong :)

I like your comparisions. Good point ex. "Ford vs Chevy" "Cannon vs Nikon" But when you compare the XBOX 360 to the PS3 it like comparing a older model Ford to a brand new Chevy. XBOX 360 released Nov 2005 and PS3 +/- Nov 2006. This is a full year of technology which PS3 could use to thier advantage and pretty much failed to deliver anything beyond the XBOX 360.

XBOX Live (Which is Incredible) - PS3 has nothing that comes remotely close.

XBOX Achievements\Gamerscore (Another one of my personal favorites)- Again PS3 nothing close.

XBOX Marketplace - PS3 has nothing.

XBOX 360 GAMES (Currently 155) - PS3 Games (Currently 16)

This is not about a popularity contest to me because I am a die hard Sony customer. Most of the electronics products I own are SONY, even my camera, no laughing... I'm just getting started with photography. But as for gaming systems, stick with the the XBOX 360 and you will not be disappointed.

A Very Satisfied XBOX 360 customer.

Hit me up once you get on XBOX Live info below....
