Anyone else stoked about the Launch of Wii?
Yes the PS3 is gonna kick major ass, including blue-ray in all its 1080P glory, If your lucky enuf to have a set that supports "true hd".
But Im really excited about the Wii launch, it just looks so damn fun to play!! |

My teenage boys have the XBOX360, PSP, PS2, ninendo DS and now are asking for a ninendo wii... How many consoles can they have? But the wii does look like fun. The PS3 is way out of a Christmas Gift price range here.

| speaking of nintendo, I just got myself a Gameboy Advance Mini recently and bought one of those cartridges with hundreds of classic 90's nintendo games - it was nostalgic! :) |

Wooohoooo, a new system! Not that we need one..LOL I know this thing has been in the works for a while.
In our house, we have the original NES, the N64, the Gamecube, a Gameboy Advance, and two DS's...LOL
With this new system, I am not so sure I am going to like the remote.

It's revolutionary! much like the touch-screen on the DS.

they will be offering a normal controller as well. |

| I have an old school Xbox, but I bought a sony 46" LCD Bravia tv 2 months ago. I think I'm going to go Xbox 360. The Wii looks pretty fun, though. Wish I had unlimited money; I could get PS3, 360, and Wii. What can you do. |

The Wii is in my future, but not immediately. I already have the Gamecube, and the Wii will be able to play all Gamecube games, so it's a natural choice for me (currently addicted to Mario Party 4 with the wife and whoever comes over to visit).
I'll probably wait for the price to drop to about $199.00 or so. When I was a teenager, I had to have new systems and new games immediately ... these days I don't mind waiting for those $50 games to drop down to $20 before I buy them.

so did anyone get one? I went around this afternoon and apperently it had sold out in all the stores in my area and southern MA within an hour. I'll try again on wed or on (black) friday...

I am getting a $150 gift card from work as a bonus this year.. (Best Buy).. so I was thinking of getting a Wii with that..
but the more I think about it.. the more I wonder why I want *another* game system I have to blow $60 per game on.
Now I'll probably just wait for the summer and get the PS3. Thus being able to keep my PS2 titles to play.
I'm just a video game weakling is all. No wii power.
Get it? Wii power?
*sigh*

I'm considering getting the PS3. I'm a die-hard xbox guy, but I'm thinking of DVD capabilities. The PS3 plays Blue-ray DVDs and you can buy it for $600 (top line) Blue Ray DVD players are $1000.......

I will get one for this reason but not till i feel i need the blu-ray. I just haven't seen any titles that I can't get on my 360 that make we want to shell out $600. the Wii is more reasonable but nintendo doens't blow my doors off with exclusive titles either. |

I cant believe you all would spend this money on these games, where is the love for some amazing GLASS? I can assure you if I had some extra $$$ for something I'd find a nice piece of glass to put in my camera bag!
JK We have a PSone, PS2, Gameboy Advance, and I finally gave my mom the regular nintendo a while back.

Me too!!! I just came home with it a couple of hours ago, cant stop playing it. I love gears of war!!!
I am a playstation man... but I can wait... not worthed right now to me and too much money, cant even find one if I wanted to.
The ninetendo wii does look awesome, I may get that soon its only 250...

Tell me about it.. if Best Buy carried the K10D.. or pentax lenses.. I know what that $150 would go to..
but they don't. They have boners for the A100D.. (which, btw, is in for servicing more often than I care to count. I should know, I audit service claims.)

Good luck getting one before christmas without buying one for triple the price from someone who camped out in line..
