You have rated 435 of 436 images (100%) in this challenge.
You have commented on 74 images (17%) in this challenge.

This is way more commenting than I have done in recent challenges and I touched on all the numbers in the vote count. I plan on going back to bump and comment more on certain images. Aimee said that I may have been a bit harsh with some of the comments I left, but I did try to leave words that dealt with the technical aspect and how the shot made me feel (or how it didnt in some cases). No nasty PMs in my mailbox yet so that is a plus. Maybe they are planning to make a personal visit instead.

Oh yes - and still hanging on to a 6.3.

I really didn't appreciate your comment. Saying it "lacked effort and it was better had you placed this in your recycle bin than enter it in the challenge" was just uncalled for. I hope you know your post was reported!

Yeah, he said I need a new hobby and he barfed a bit in his mouth after seeing mine. But all comments are good comments.

:)

Blah, I'm not doing very well in this challenge. I thought my pic deserves better than what it's getting. But oh well there's always next time.

In an odd way I would love to get a comment like that in challenge. I would definitely mark that helpful, bust out laughing and then break down crying when I came to the realization that my shot may have sucked that bad.

I have been called a jerk before but I dont give out ones. Send me a link to your image and I would gladly make an exception. ;)

I spent the day on the road and was very anxious to see what had happened during my absense but I had to wait to go on line to check:

True story:
I just got back home after being out of state for a couple of days. It was 7:00 p.m. and getting dark out. The motion detector had come on. The light in the garage came on when I opened the door and I entered through the laundry room. I started to unload the car and had left the door between the garage and laundry room open. When it rang, I ran to answer it and thought I swung the laundry door shut behind me. The call lasted well over an hour and a half by which time it was 9:00 and I needed to call my husband so did so immediately. We were on the phone for quite a while when I noticed a leaf on the floor jump. I hollared and ran for something to contain the creature. By the time I was through I had 2 toads under those wax kitchen cups and 4 very large wolf spiders. That will teach me to make sure that all of the doors are fully closed the next time. I shall spend the rest of the night looking for critters. I hate to think what must be in the garage right now, think I'll deal with that tomorrow :-(

I needn't have been in a hurry, it's not looking any better than when I checked it this morning, in fact I think it may be worse. 7 comments and all of them are very nice so I'm now anxious, nervous & confused.

BTW, sorry about the hijack.

Wow - wake up to go to the bathroom and hit update a couple of times to watch a 1 vote come in. Nice!

Hey, Caitlyn! Just watch the NEXT challenge include spiders and/or toads ;)

I'll be interested to see the ribbon winners, as always, but as far as I'm concerned, I'm completely and utterly satisfied with my entry. Not only is it pretty darn high scoring (for me) at 6.1, but ursula likes it. I simply can't ask for anything more than that! Woo!

Heck, I figure that God has a weird sense of humor at times. My current bokeh isn't doing as well as I'd hoped so he sent me several models that would have worked better. Still have the toads in a glass jar. Anyone know how to get a good shot of toads that are the size of a penny? I'd like to send a picture to the granddaughter and these little guys are active and jump REALLY high.

Dudette! Great score. I know we should all be pleased with any score above 6.0, but aren't you starting to get the hunger for more? :) I see that you hit a 6 score in roughly one of every four entries. That's pretty good, but human nature sneaks in and now you are only pleased with a 6.2...then a 6.4...and on and on.

Just playing the role of the devil whispering in your ear...

My score is just wobbling all over the place. Luckily it is all above my average and that's what makes me happy these days. Just hope the challenge ends on an up wobble rather than a down one.

Cool them down in the fridge. I'd start five minutes at a time. That slows them down for a very short time...

Not one of my better shots.

Definently top 10 area. Could be top 5. The 5 faves is a good indicator too.

Thanks for the push, Doc. My goal for right now is to get 6 of 10 entries showing on the challenge page in my portfolio to be above the 50% mark. With this one and Trains, I should get to 5 of 10, so almost there. I'm still quite delighted with anything above a 6.

And Mr Simms - hard to tell if it'll be top ten, but there's a good chance - and it's a darn fine score with lots of favs - congrats!!

Caitlyn, if you do the fridge thing, just remember to get them out before they die!

Another indicator is when you get >10% of your votes with comments. You'll be right up there. Lately you are lucky if you ribbon with a score under 7 (but it happens) and you are unlucky if you don't ribbon with a score over 7 (but it happens, talk to scarbrd)...

I'd be looking for a Top 5 with a score like that in a challenge like this.
