Welcome to the Reaction Club!

Post a picture here and you'll get a reaction* from the Reaction Club.

It would also be nice if you dropped in on some of the other photos in this thread while you're here.

* A "reaction" is an honest description of how we react to a photo. It is about the personal connections we make to the photograph, whether it's a connection to feelings, memories, thoughts, etc. If we feel completely neutral about a photo, we will write that. And then maybe we'll sit with it a little longer, look at different aspects of the photo and see if anything hits us. The initial reaction is important, as well as the responses that bloom from further examination and/or quiet reflection.

wow, I love seeing so many photos so quickly. I've already done 4 and will get to the rest.

But please, no more pictures that are more than 720 pixels high. I can't see the whole picture on my monitor!

and another thing, I only promise to get to the first 10 tonight...

D'oh! Figures, I have one entry that I was looking for more comments on, and it turns out that you were 50% of the comments I got.

Rather than comment again on that, would you take a look at the photo I wanted to enter in HCII but decided against on the theory that the tonal range was too long? Since I'm not a paid member, it is on my own site:

That is one of the most touching images I think I've seen here to date. *hugs*

Aweeeee you guys are great. Thanks so much for the sweet comments, Leroy and Don. Sometimes you just know a moment when you see one if you know what I mean, and I knew that was a moment that was about as raw as it gets. I'm glad my naked honesty is appreciated and nobody is saying how horrid I look when I'm upset! :)

Horrid? Sheez, I had to keep myself from hugging the monitor... it made me cry, but not because you were anything less than beautiful.

Thanks, Leroy! :) .... the most frequent comment I've gotten from people who know me well is "this breaks my heart". Both of my kids have said that when they saw it at different times; and honestly, when I see it, it breaks my heart. I don't like to look at it long. It's the eye contact.

Well, since you won't comment on my ducky, I'll post this one for you instead. Once again, please feel free to use the word "dull" creatively and artistically...LOL!
