Does this count for the Faceless challenge?
10/02/2006 12:22:42 AM · #2
YES - to me anyway

I would say yes.

I have a feeling this challenge is going to involve alot of cleavage.

How do we know it's not a face? Maybe that person just needs to shave.

How much explanation does 'faceless' really need?

Lets all hope it's female cleavage!

This image of Mike Tyson by Albert Watsom immediately sprang to mind. This file is a poor rendition of it, but it's a great shot.

The "faceless" part is easy enough.
The bigger problem is drawing the line between portrait and candid/snapshot - that's more difficult without faces.

.

How about two subjects? ...such as in the example below.

(Please ignore the fact that the person's face on the left is partially visible, but I'm more interested in multiple subjects or not)

Thanks!

I understand all the "back of the head" shots - but what I am wondering is if the face is out of focus or otherwise distorted - whould that work?

Thanks,
John

I wonder if an image like this one has too much "face"...

(It's an early self-portrait of Robert Cornelius made on a Daguerreotype...source)

where's the pic from the guy with his head in his ass when you need it?

:P

not to crash the party but why doesn't everyone stop posting possible images as someone's submition could fall close to another image...and this could hurt them, when it should not.

i've seen it happen before and i'm not sure i'll even submit to this one..but just wanted to throw it out there....

i think the challenge is pretty clear and images posts might just do more harm than good, objectivity wise.

_bran(just a thought although i'm enjoying the thread)do_
