I am looking for advice and perhaps a few attempts at what you would do for this image.

Very cool shot! I'm not that knowledgeable on post-processing tweaks, but I would play with midtones (bring up) and shadows (deepen) some, possibly boost the contrast a little?

Give it a minute or two. Should be some experts in here shortly! ;^)

I like the Shadow/Highlight function in CS2.
Curves, Levels, Hue/Sat.
I can give you more details if you like it ... If not .... well I get back to work :]

Oh yeah ... I also used Noise Ninja mostly to add contrast to the details only.
Here's hoping that these effects are better on a hi-res version because I ended up with alot of pixelization.

I also tried a cropped version ... This puts the moon right around a third - making the composition a little more appealing IMO. I llike the highlite on the fence - I treated this as a BASIC EDIT FYI since I gotta get back to my 'real' job.

I realize I'm no expert so others should feel free to mess with it :]

I enjoy all of the input- I would like some more

The truth is that I really enjoy the photo and I saw it as an okay image but wished it would pop and be something a bit more but all my (limited) post processing skills just left me feeling less than satisfied.

The glare or spots or whatever they are above the roadway are distracting and I found no good way to remove them while making the photo remain natural.

Personally I think the fence and tree are also distracting and unnecessary , in this same series I took this photo as well.

You may want to post a higher resolution version if possible.

Hey Matt. Theres my re-edit. I think the major problem is your crop and the haze. Basically here I cropped, unsharp Mask to remove the haze (set the radius high and the amount low) and then a small curves adjustment to bring out the midtones on the fences.

Hope that helps.

Edit to add - oh, I also cloned out the glare at the top and some distracting branches.
