Anyone know if there's a way to add pictures to the gallery AFTER you have set it up? I haven't put it on the web yet, but if I do and I later want to add to it, how would i go about that?

I always just add the new image to the folder and recreate the site and re-publish. Of course that was before iWeb and iPhoto (Mac)

Hmm don't know but you can try using Porta, it's a free stand alone that creates the PS web gallery or a simpleviewer gallery WAY easier and faster than those programs do.

you would also have to add to the thumbnail folder right? And what do you mean by recreate the site?

All I do when I'm adding a new photo is rerun the script that creates the thumbs and gallery entries. This recreates all the necessary web pages.

Since all it creates is .htm files you could actually edit them to add the new image. It's just much easier to recreate the whole thing. No chance of missing something then.

Yeah porta rocks, I use it to make simpleviewer proofing galleries and galleries for my website, you just rightmouse click on the folder with all the pictures in it and then use the dropdown menus and BOOM gallery created!

Here are a few of mine, let me know if I can help!

I used it to make my cheesy little site, but I didn't like the order it puts photos in and couldn't figure out how to change that, so I opened it up in Frontpage and edited it to the way I like. In doing that, I then had to edit all the hyperlinks for the previous/next buttons on each full-size image as well. So I haven't updated my site in like 8 months or so. I find Pbase galleries so much easier to manage, even though it's not the most professional looking.

Changing the order is simple as long as you have an application that allows you to order them the way you want.

I use Bridge. You can position the images in any order you want then run the web photo gallery generation.
