Wow! That thing is monsterous but what an amazing piece of equipment! And only about $37,000 US! Maybe if all of us DPCers go in on the deal, we can afford one to share amongst ourselves ;o)

Is't that a Mac Mini in that pouch storing the images?
That sensor sounds too good to be true.

Can you imagine walking down the street, asking people to do candids with this thing??

Should say Monster Portrait Camera - made especially for basketball players.
Am I the only one that wonders why a Panoramic camera is being held in portrait mode?? |

I've seen some interesting 6x17 portrait oriented shots, but I'd guess he was just posing for the picture.

I don't think you'd really need to. You could take a picture from down the block and then crop in to just them and still have a file big enough for a 30 inch print.

Maybe he's just trying to fit through a doorway with it. |

i don't know about you guys, but i would love to take a pic with that camera, 160 Mpx that's pretty damn impressive. Imagine how many crops you can do and still have a good quality pic! |

That's only the equivalent of having 27 of my Rebel files open at one time... MY computer would CHOKE!

Sounds to me like the coolest camera ever....
That monstrous ASA rating will allow really fast shooting as well. I remember hearing about Canon saying something about how they were on the cusp of having sensors that natively have a much higher sensitivity which should allow a major shift in the way cameras operate. |
