1) Lens Cap Off: Take your best shot after removing the lens cap. Even a partial failure to remove the lens cap will result in a DQ.

2) No Ducks: Avoid 'em at all costs. Be sure to check the sky for little specks or noise that could be construed as a duck.

3) In Your Bathroom with the Door Closed (The Pubert Cup): Make an image in the smallest room in your house. No fair shooting out the window.

4) Auto Levels: Process your image using the "auto levels" command in Photoshop or the equivalent no-brainer command your software provides.

5) Your Bits: Photograph a part of your anatomy. It must be a viable, attached, organic piece of your physiology (ie. no nail clippings or bits of cut hair, prosthetics, etc.)

I'd be extremely grateful (as, I'm sure, would many others) if anyone has any more.

How about "Where I keep my car"? In a garage, under a tree, the possibilities are endless, and ya just couldn't screw up on the perspective!

Oh, ok, sorry. (He he he)

I was thinking along the lines of an "under the sheets in my bed" challenge. It would be a good way to get people to learn to expose properly in dark places.. and could make for a few good macro shots.. Hmm....

That might get kinda scary, EEK!!

if you keep your car under a tree, birds will shit on it. bird shit will eat through your paint, and you wont be happy.

What if you have trouble falling asleep?
05/02/2002 08:41:01 AM · #9
If you can't sleep, take a picture of yerself lying on the bed and just claim that you are asleep...

05/02/2002 08:52:04 AM · #10
But if you don't look really asleep somebody will claim you faked the picture.

Someone needs to ask mousie if he was really asleep in his profile picture... if not, i think he should withdraw it from his profile :))

How about (with all this dalk of drowsiness)

Boring: Water marks on the ceiling. Tax form instructions. Conflict in the Middle East. Birds, Sunsets & Flowers (just kidding). Take the most droopy-eyelidded drabflat mundane nearly-sure-to-cause-narcolepsy photo possible. Low score wins.

How bout "The back of people's heads"... :)

Can we have low score wins this challenge??? Or better yet, it doesn't have to win... can I just have a manky brownish green ribbon in my profile, and recognition for having the worst picture submitted/lowest score? Please?

Take a picture while spinning around really fast. There should make some easy but cool shots.

haha, I like this one, the most boring subject ever (not most boring picture, we would see nothing but black rectangles)
Lowest score wins...

Come to think of it, I wonder how a black rectangle would have scored in the night challenge?

A black bear, covered in soot, with it's eyes closed, in the middle of a power outage, at night? Could have scored quite high... ;o)

depends on if there were any motion trails .. i mean if the submission was really about the color black .. or maybe if there's a mirror or outstretched arm .. or was that on top of a table? ? ? i forget ... getting sooo sleepy ....
