The only race I'm in is the most comments for an under 6 score...

Having a bit of time recovering from yesterday... oh well.

I'm only saddened that this is about 3 hours of post-process compared to 5 minutes for Lug Nut's Soft Focus portrait.

I can't manage to comment on all this photos, there's just too many of them and not enough hours in the day.

As for me, I just need a few more 6s to keep my average up over 5. currently 5.0294

Normally I'd complain about the score here, but i'm so happy with the comments I've gotten so far that the score doesn't even matter. This is the first challenge where I've gotten QUALITY comments. All very supportive and still helpful on how to improve.

Cindi what's taking you so long to comment on my photo....I know you will. :)

I think I just got a 1. Hard to lower a mid-5 score otherwise. :-)
09/02/2006 01:29:04 PM · #336
I just dropped more than a .1 over night, say in the last 6 hours! Man, I didn't know that could happen after a certain amount of votes. Must have gotten numberous 1's in a row.

5.64 to 5.51!
CURSES!
Now I remember why I stopped entering challenges... TOO MUCH STRESS! :P

I don't know how anyone could give a 1 in this challenge. I'd decided to do my rating first and then go back and comment but I've come across so many first class images, I find myself constantly having to comment on them.

i wanted honest critiques and I have received them, especially from Kiwiness, Sinky, Konador and Xilebo. I am very happy with the score, but even more so with the abundance of participation. I tried something new and I suppose it is paying off...

So, I was up until 4am last night & of course, I spent some time on dpc. I checked, as I often do, how many people were online & did a scroll thru who actually was online. Of the 68 people that were online at 3am, maybe 5-6 were registered users who I did not recognise & checked out their profiles. About 4 of them had been users ranging from Jan 2006 to about a month ago & none of them had entered a challenge or posted to a thread. All they had done was vote.

Now I know that registered users cant vote on members' cahllenges (right?) but really, what would someone do here if they were not posting to threads, entering challenges and/or leaving comments? Just looking thru pix & voting?

Is this suspicious or am I just getting caught up on the numerous folks who have busted for multiple accounts lately?

My score took yet another dive to 5.5. So officially that's 5.64 to 5.50. What the F?

My wife is a registered user who has not voted, submitted, or posted in the forums. SHe wanted to show someone one of my entries while voting was on and when the "please register" page came up, she registered. Nothing suspicious.

I've got admit that I have thought - what if she voted me a 10 and so on but with recent events that thought has left my mind :)

ETA: My pic dived from 6.1 to 5.9 - at 6.1 it is a new best score, at 5.9 it's not :(

Merrily we slog along, slog along, slog along ...

Meanwhile, I suffered the same 0.1 - 0.2 drop overnight as many people have mentioned. No big deal, but there must be some tough voters out there. Still well into personal best territory.

Ehh, my mom has a gray shirt vote-only account, just so she can keep tabs on my entries. I thought it was rather cute yesterday when she figured out that she could add me to her list of favorites!

Everyone on this thread seems to have, like, 20 more votes then I do :-(
I think I am suffering from dull thumbnail syndrome, I have had 7 votes since 9 am!

I think I have the opposite - my thumbnail looks better than the image IMO
