Anyone got one? What are your thoughts on it...think of buying one...worth it or not?

It sure seems like a great cam. A bit of a stripped down 10D. It will do very well. It's a tremendous bargain as far as DSLR go. Wonderful for people already equiped with a film EOS Rebel system.

I JUST BOUGHT ONE LAST WEEK!!!! All I can say is WOW! Really amazing photos Jacko. It works just like a higher end SLR. The only reason it's cheaper is because it has a plastic body instead of a metal one. The lenses are a bit spendy, so by the time we left the store, we had spent about $1500...but I think it was WELL WORTH the money.

I just got mine last friday. I am very pleased with it. This is my first SLR and i still have alot to learn. The image quality is excellent, and the focus is fast. the lens that comes with it is a good general lens. I want to add a macro and telephoto later, wich is cool because you can slowly invest in good lenses and upgrade cameras later and use the same lenses.

Hey you two ... good to hear you're enjoying your DSLR. There will be so many horror stories of people hating it, because they didn't take time to understand the basics.

Congrats. Welcome to team 10D. :)

I almost kicked my self for buying the Sony 717 because I have a Canon EOS camera and lenses... I can't take my 717 back and I'm not sure I want to take the time to find a buyer for mine....

Plus it is a big price jump, I got my 717 for only 600 bucks new & unopened so the Canon looks expensive in comparison!

I will say I really hate the LCD on the 717 though. I've been having difficulty telling when something is in perfect focus when shooting up close!

What lenses did you get? Do you have any images you can show us?

I don't have my new lens yet (in the mail now)... And the only photo I have uploaded is in my profile....

This is what I got, I hope it doesn't suck, but it was cheap!
