Well I didn't enter Transportation II but this is what I shot just in case my entry in the FGU II challenge didn't work out. I wonder how it might have done?

Well, it appears I have the common case of liking my own work better than everyone else did. So of course the question is, "Should have I gone with my second choice?"

Entered:

Thought about entering (first one was second choice):

I actually really liked the one you entered, but i love the one above a little bit more but for different reasons. the nissan could do with being a bit sharper, but i think the line of the tree following the line of the cars roof is gorgeous and really effective. the greens, browns, blacks and blues all go together very nicely as well. a visually pleasing image, and i can see why you had difficulty in selecting only one. can't quite fathom how the one you entered finished 176th.

This was my entry, which was meant to convey a certain mystical feeling and most of the commenters noted that. There was a mist rising off the river and that added a nice element.

But, here are a couple of outtakes that I thought would have been pretty nice also...

After seeing the results, this may have done better, based on the number of silouettes.

I appreciate any thoughts or comments.

just wondering, but do you guys prefer my entry cleaned up? or do you prefer it as it was when i entered.

1) as entered in challenge with no spot edits

2) After spot editing (though perhaps i should have left the guy in the background in... any thoughts?) - click to see larger version
