This was my submission for 4 days. I preferred my portrait shot but (as usual) fell down on dodgy pp'ing

I never revisited this but thought it had potential?

I might have entered this one if I hadn't already made a special side trip in Tokyo to get my planned entry. Plus, I guess that many dpc voters wouldn't have any idea what it is.

Did I choose right?

Indeed.

Here's my entry:

And here's a shot I loved, but took the day before the challenge started. It's been PP'd on the laptop (I can't get colors right on that thing), so the skin tone is wrong. With the right PP, I'd like to have used it for my entry.

Interesting. I found that pipe-organ shot to be one of the better entries. Your outtake is good, but that pipe-organ shot defintely has loads of 'wow'.

Yeah 'pipe-organ' is awkward, but 'organ shot' has its own problems.

Thanks, I'm not complaining. The shot did well and I liked it. I also liked the dance shot. BTW, here's the explanation behind the pipe-organ image.

"This image was taken right before a concert by the famed Mormon Tabernacle Choir in the LDS Conference Center. The tickets say not to bring cameras in the building, but I had mine in my purse (yes, I carry my DSLR in my purse) and security let me through. Unfortunately, some tall guy kept standing up and wouldn't sit down. I felt okay about taking shots without drawing major attention to myself, but standing up while most were seated and telling the oof to sit down had a definite feeling of drawing attention to my photography. So, I took my photos, handheld in low light, from my seat and got the best crop I could without the guy's head in the way, and using my kit lens.

The greatest part of the image was the fantastic lighting they were using on the back wall. It really brought out the gold. And to think I sat waiting for the concert for nearly 15 minutes before I realized I had a fantastic "Gold" subject sitting in front of me."
