Man, I just seen this thread tonight. I hope everything is ok. I have tried reading every post but I may have missed a few.

Did he mention to anyone he was going on a trip and just not return? or was there no conversation about going any where and he went missing?

Not a word to anyone, including family.

well I'm sure the cops know how to do their job so I'm not sure how helpful this will be but...

If the neighbors know about what time they saw him get out of the green SUV then perhaps they could find the vehicle on a nearby traffic cam from that morning and get the plate / owner. It seems to me if he did plan a sudden trip of any sort the green SUV would be the key.

What is his cell phone carrier that people attempted to call him? and did it ring before going to voice mail as if the phone was in a cell covered area or on? Or did it go straight to voicemail as a phone would do if it was off or out of area?

07/31/2006 03:20:58 AM · #205
It went to voicemail for a while and now it is doing that fast busy signal thing. Daryl said he got like a circuit down or busy or something I think. But basiclly no service.
Must go to bed now or pass out at the computer.

There was a Steve Davidson that was in a Longbow Gold Club tournament on July 22nd, 2006 located at 5601 E. Longbow Parkway, Mesa, Arizona 85215. I know there are a lot of people with that name but a chance. Here is the Link

Also I believe I read in this thread that he may do some freelance photography work but they had no contact numbers.
Here is one that you can try. Scroll down to the bottom and the picture is credited to Steve Davidson. Just another lead with phone numbers hope it helps. The Link

Thanks Scott every little bit is helpful,

I'm sure that's not Steve in the golfing thing but you're right, that is his photo of Boyce. He does workshops there sometimes and had an exhibit earlier this year. Daryl said they have contacted the arboretum to be on the lookout for himself and his car. Also Desert Botanical Gardens has been called.

You know, we could fax a flyer over tomorrow. I have a fax here which might be better than just a phone call...
Daryl or Tina did you say you had flyers already? Really, time to sleep now so I will check back in the a.m.

may I ask why people are worried and is looking for him all of a sudden?
BTW I still have no idea who he is. His name is very common so initially I thought this was all a joke, my wrong, sorry.

Because he has many friends here, he is a very active participant, one of the main contributors to the learning community, and we are very worried about him. His own family does not know where he is...

I have a friend that works for a local major cellphone carrier in the data department, and if you know which carrier he uses, I can get him to see the last cellphone tower his phone registered on. I won't be able to tell you WHERE that tower is, just the Tower ID, you'd have to find someone from the local carrier companies, or some internet list I am not aware of to find where the tower is exactly.

Give it a little time. Today is Monday, and remember that Arizona is 2 hours behind the East Coast. It will probably be mid-afternoon to get a full update. I'm sure LoudDog will not forget to let us know what the police have determined as of today.

If you are new to the thread, the summary is that Steve Davidson, a respected user has been missing for several days. He's had no contact with friends or family. The concern is great enough that a police report has been filed.

I encourage you to take the time to go back and read THOROUGHLY before asking questions. Many of them have been previously covered.

Think positive thoughts that steve makes it back to us safely soon!

Good Morning Everyone! Thank you Clara for the reminder post. It is currently 5:35am Arizona time. We won't be able to begin speaking with anyone for another few hours. Daryl already knows which Missing Persons Officer is taking the case as of today and plans to be in touch with her this morning. Steve's son is expected into town this afternoon and we hope he will call us upon his arrival. I expect he will be performing the search of the home and I'm not sure if Daryl and I will be involved/helping.

Unfortunately there are a lot of unanswered questions, but I presume that today will be key in getting (hopefully) some answers.

Also, the media did not respond to my requests by putting notices out about Steve, but I was warned of that since it didn't come straight from the police department. Now that Missing Persons is going to be officially involved, I would be surprised if it wasn't on this evening's news report.

Either Daryl or I will be posting to this thread when new information is obtained... we would love to keep this thread on the front page in case Steve happens to pop in - so thank you to everyone helping with that by bumping.

For anyone wondering why this thread exists: Steve has friends and family very concerned for him. Last known contact with anyone we know of is 7/20, last sighting by a neighbor is 7/23. This is VERY out of character for Steve. DPC is a large community of people that care. Even if Steve wasn't a contributing member to this site it is still a place where people will help others and because we have no idea where Steve is, this site reaches (probably) every state in the US and beyond, filled with people that can look out for him or his car. Now add in that he IS a highly respected contributing member of this site that has welcomed many visitors from DPC to Arizona. Steve is very selfless and takes time out to show DPC visitors around and take them to wonderful photo spots. Many people have an intense interest in helping to find him as he has a lot of friends.

Again, we truly appreciate everyone's efforts, positive thoughts and great ideas. Keep them all coming.
