I was looking into a "Free Site" (.nets), that will let you host your own tourney, I cant find one!

Partpoker lets you create a custom table for real money players, but not "Fun" money..

Anyone know of site that will let us host a free tourney?

I was thinking a DPC tourney for fun..

Great idea, I'd love to be in it if you can find a place.

Ditto. However, I don't know of any site that allows you to create free money tables. Of course, we could always play for a few bucks. :)

You might ask Jacko. I hear he might have played poker online once.

I've played on quite a few sites, but none where you can host a free money table.

Im still looking around, I dont think a free custom tourney is possible..

At least PokerStars got back to me, they havve good customer service..

Heres the reply..

Hello Tim,

Thank you for your interest in offering private tournaments on
PokerStars.

At this time, the ability to create private tournaments on PokerStars
is being offered as a premium feature only to those players who have
earned more than 2,000 FPP over the lifetime of their account and is
not
available for play money games.

You've earned no FPP so far. We'd be happy to extend to you this
privilege
once you've earned the full 2,000 points.

Our Frequent Player Points (FPP) system is a promotion that we offer
to reward all players who play our real money games.

Players accumulate FPPs by playing in ring games and in selected
tournaments. One point is awarded for playing in each raked game when
the rake reaches:

$0.50 for fixed limit games with stakes $0.50/$1.00 and lower
$0.75 for fixed limit games with stakes $1/$2
$1.00 for:
- pot limit games
- no limit games
- fixed limit games with stakes $2/$4 and higher

One additional FPP is awarded when the rake reaches $3.

Five points are awarded for each $1 in a tournament fee.

For more information regarding our FPP system, please see our Web site
at:

//www.pokerstars.com/fpp.html

We hope to hear from you in the near future with a few more FPP
earned. Good luck in our games, and thank you very much for playing
here on PokerStars.

Regards,

Paula

[Summary]

Dear Buzz,

Once you've spent all your money on our other poker games and are completely destitute, we'd be glad to let you host some free games.

;)

I guess I could create a table on yahoo and make it private-- I would have to invite people in the same lobby, would be tedious, and I thinks its Limit, not no limit..

EDIt and it would be a non-tourney-- I think the Yahoo idea is a SUCK.

//www.pokerroom.com

Best graphical user interface around...and you can sign up for free money and create private tables.

EDIT: you can ever just play for fake money and win real money in the large freeroll tournaments they have like 10 times a day.

I think the high stakes is too high for the starting play bankroll-- Should I create one in Low instead..

It takes time to set up your account and verify your bank with neteller and so on...but if we can get 10 people with it setup, let's make it count...$100 at least. Or better yet, let's sit at a 1-1NL ring game ;)
