I'm actually working towards my dream job. As boring as it sounds, I really like stock photography, and the best part about it is that I can set my own work hours. Unless I schedule a shoot with a model, or go to a specific location to shoot, I can work on it when I want to. That fact is what mainly makes it a dream job for me. I have about 200 pictures in my istock portfolio (I started in March), and by the end of the year I hope to have 300. By the end of 2007 I hope to have 1,000 pix in my portfolio, which should be enough to give me a decent part-time income. Next step after that? Full-time income from stock. It definitely can be done (ask Nico Blue, who's putting himself through Med School with stock). Slowly but surely I will get there, and I'm having fun every step of the way. I'm also having really good success with portraits. Senior portraits, family portraits--I'm starting to get busy with that, and I just started doing it a few months ago. But stock is my main endeavor right now, and I don't see any end in sight with it.
