What Is Your Ultimate Photography Dream Job??

Is there a certain magazine you'd love to work for? a studio of your own? a specific company?

Let's hear it!!

very tough. There are many...

But one that comes to mind would be shooting action shots of a professional sports team for something like Getty or AP. Or maybe the PGA Tour.

When I started out I wanted to be a fashion photographer (even went to school for it and everything).

These days I guess I'd be more interestd in celebrity portraits though.

It'll never happen though because I'm too shy and can't get around too well these days. Not to mention I moved out of LA/Hollywood.

Industrial photographer. I spend my days working the marketing department of a environmental engineering firm, working with horrible photos (stock and engineering staff shots) of refineries, power plants, pump units, and the like. I would love to gain access to these sites and take as many pictures as I could with the firm goal in mind of making usable and desirable images for marketing purposes.

There's nothing stopping a SAGD operation up in Fort Mac looking beautiful as well as accurate.

I love landscapes. I would love to one day be good enough to be a true landscape photographer, for either a magazine or some other publication

I would not ever want to do this for a living. If I ever did, I think the joy of it would be sucked out by the fact there would be pressure to "have to" shoot photos that I didn't feel like at the time.

My dream job would be to be wealthy and unemployed, Then just take pictures when I feel like it, and just post them here. That would be the life.

I would love to work for Vans... shooting surfing, snowboarding, motocross, BMX, and skateboarding shots for their ads/posters/catalogs/website.

World Cup 2010 would be insanely cool as well!!!

I would love to work for anyone who would fly me around random places...pay for everything...and get me new equipment when I needed. If one of those places is looking to hire...I'm your man.

Mine would be just to take pictures of what I want and have someone take care of selling them for me, making millions because everyone in the world would find one they just HAD to have :D

The Human Element.
From photographing generations of a lost tribe, deep in the Amazon, to Eskimos near the Arctic circle, to candids in all walks of life, in all corners of the globe, with no itinerary, no deadlines.
A study of character of sorts, emotions and souls.

I'd love to work for Vogue.

Who wouldn't?

I wouldn't.
Too artificial for me.

I think my dream job would be to work for National Geographic. I am very lucky in the fact that the Australian Geographic (Australian version of National Geographic)recently contacted me, without warning, saying they would like to speak with me about my photographic work.

I believe they are connected to the National Geographic, but not sure to what extent.

Did you tell them you only had 3 Ribbons and weren't worthy yet?

Oh and I think I read somewhere in their contract:
503.01 GROOMING STANDARDS - ALL PERSONNEL

1.1 Hair Styles - While on duty, all personnel shall wear conventional and conservative hair styles that do not provoke undue personal attention.

1.1.1 Hairstyle, hair color and hair length shall conform to the provisions of this Department Order.

1.1.1.1 Bizarre, exotic, extreme and/or provocative hair styles are prohibited.

1.1.1.2 Hair color shall be restricted to natural and traditional colors and shades.

1.1.1.3 Hair shall be clean and kept combed or brushed.

Basically, you're screwed, except for part 1.1.1.3 anyway.
Probably don't want cha' skeerin the animals away....
LOL

I would love to be a regular freelancer for National Geographic. I would love to cover war, natural disasters, travel stuff, etc. I love PJ, too bad it's so difficult to get into. I also like to shoot weddings and portraits so when I wasn't working for NG, I would love to have my own studio with a steady clientele. I suppose I have to settle for the wedding and location portrait business fow now :(

I want to drive Route 66 and photograph it along the way. I know its been done before but its the way I was to travel it. I really don't want to give my idea up on how but it would definitely be interesting. Anyway, its a dream....
