This will be my first-
I've searched and read nearly all the post on here. I think I want to spend the money and get the Canon 580EX and a LightSphere, Is there anything i should know before hand?
I guess i need 4 AA batteries and a recharger but do I need any other else to get started?
Thanks in advance |

Uhmm... I too did a lot of research. I can't speak for the 580 (which I'm sure is a top notch flash), but my research steered me toward the Sigma. It's very comparable to the 500 series Canons for a lot less. So far I've been very pleased with mine. I just need to add the LightSphere and I'll be off to shoot my first wedding soon!!! |

My research led me to the same conclusion. I ordered the Sigma EF 500 DG Super flash and Lightsphere and hoping to get them by early next week. This is the thread that I started a little while ago looking for some recommendations from people on this site.
