Please post your Straight from the Camera entry and it's edited version in this thread for comparison.
Here's mine:

It scored 6.668, my 5th highest score ever.

And here's the same shot with some minor editing (steps in the Photog Comment's).

coolhar: the original is spectacular and your edits are very subtle - real hard to see improvement. Congrats on the great score!

Rgar: I like your edited version better - the colors pop more. You also got a great score and a great finish on your original. Not much to improve on.

I got comments that the cast was disctacting, but not much I could do about it. None of my other kids would 'model' for me that day...

Looks like you shouldn't have twisted her arm so much to get her to model. ;-) j/k

I like both shots, but actually like your original frame/crop best.

Thanks Penny...Yes, Amy is my youngest daughter, just turned 4....She pretty much is my portfolio :)...She loves the camera!!

Thanks Art, I think what you said can be applied to most of the Straight entries, they were pretty good to start with and only needed minor touch up to look their best.

Looking through the entries in this challenge, almost all of them including the ribbon winners could have been improved by editting. For instance the Red Ribbon has sensor dust in the top of the sky.
