Lets say I shoot RAW+small compressed jpeg, can I use that compressed jpeg as an original?
07/01/2006 12:15:43 AM · #7
That is a jpeg - you should be good to go.

Ack, I've been used to shooting RAW and converting with almost 0 contrast into PS and doing almost everything from there (well, a little different for Basic editing) for a long time, it'll be strange to shoot JPG for a change. I'm pretty sure I'll enter though, I have some shots in mind.

Make sure you shoot in landscape cause if you upload a portrait mode, it'll be sideways and they said no rotating. bwa ha ha ha ha ha

This should be interesting. All the purists will be VERY happy. ;~p

I think the intent here is not to do anything at all with RAW since things can be changed during conversion to jpg. The best option would be to shoot in a big jpg and resize.

I am so totally gonna try this!

edit: I wonder if there's gonna be an unlimited editing challenge after this one. That also would be very cool :)
