I'll take the first 10. Maybe a few more since I'm heady with victory. As always, I don't look at your comments before leaving mine.

Hey ex-NYer, I received a 5.65 for Bokeh so I don't really qualify, but would appreciate your thoughts. The image may not grab the viewer but I thought it had all the technical aspects to get closer to a 6.

I pretty much know why my pic got the score it did, but I would love a critique from you Doc.

Thanks!

Some of the comments have already indicated what might improve this image, but, as always, I appreciate your input.

If you truncate my score I'm at 5.5. Thanks!

Thanks :)

Thanks Jason.

The reason for the extension tube was to get close enough. In hindsight I should of just changed lenses and tried to include the entire foreground flower in the DOF.

OK, shop is closed. I'm gonna try to do a 100% comment challenge on Urban Legends.

I'll do the next shift... :D

Thanks for the comments DrAchoo! I appreciate your taking the time! I don't always understand the psychology of voters here, but well, that happens. Voters here generally hate my photography, but it keeps me humble! Your comments pointed out definite things I could change and so I appreciate that!

And hey, doctornick, if you want to add your two cents I'm always open for comments!

I have to say that pictures of flowers and animals should have been ruled out for winner pictures. I really liked this following picture, very much underated in my opinion:

This is merely my interpretation, so take it for what it's worth, but I'm not sure this is a good example of bokeh. Yes, it's OOF, but the OOF portion of the picture is, in reality, the subject. Bokeh, whether with circular highlights or not, enhances by feel and character, not really by being the main attraction.

Hehe, I know it's crap, I checked my brain at the door during submission apparently. (and ignored the Doc's no-cyan rule)

Lay it on me.
