But Max! Max Power, he's the man whose name you'd love to touch! But you mustn't touch! His name sounds good in your ear, but when you say it, you mustn't fear! 'Cause his name can be said by anyone!

Don't you feel better now?

I wasn't happy about the timing of the Back to School challenge and I was told think outside the little box, be creative.

I did just that! And I have my lowest score ever at the moment on a photo with good focus, good detail, lots of texture, good lighting and not any real distracting factors...all that is missing right now is the first comment that says..."Doesn't meet challenge...."

As for the repetition challenge my score is slightly lower than I expected, but not disappointing or disheartening like the back to school challenge

Hey don't go by the early results. Scores can change so dramatically in that time. I have had things score in the 3's in the early hours, and go on to do ok. Last week I had the opposite. I hate a 6.6 and thats now a 5.5. Anything could happen.

yea,... but its usually pretty indicative of whats coming to you... my main thing was i thought they were GOOD, and usually i dont think that... and yet these two are doing worse than anything else ive entered,,, but i just gotta move on with it i guess

I felt like I captured a great image for the Back to School challenge, but was really disappointed to see a 4.8 after several votes. Weird how we can like something so much and be thinking ribbon, only to see a mediocre score. It has since shot up to a 6.3... All I'm shooting for is a top 60 finish!

*pulling out some Mondavi merlot* *passing it around*
09/01/2003 01:48:12 AM · #16

09/01/2003 01:49:10 AM · #17

I think as long as you can still spell merlot you're probably still responsible for your actions. On the other hand, the 2001 cabernet ($2.25 at Safeway this week) I have open renders me perfectly lucid ....

09/01/2003 02:03:36 AM · #20

My first submission started out tons lower than I thought it was worth. In the week's time, it slowly worked its way up to almost where I wanted it.
