I don't actively sell my photos but sometimes when I am out taking pictures people will ask if I have a website, or I might take a photo of someone and like to email it to them, but don't have a pen and paper. I thought I could just hand them a "business" card and they could email me. So show me your business card for inspiration. Thanks!

This is a very old thread that I have in my watched collection and unfortunately, some of the examples are missing but there are still some neat ones to check out.

Thanks MK, yeah, too bad a lot are missing. Even most of the cards that show up in thumbnail view aren't there in full sized view. I hope people post to this thread.

Nice thread. Here's some of the linkable leftovers.

Also, look back in that thread for the JMSetzler and scab-lab ones, they're some of the best, at least from what I can see in the thumbs. Imagineer posted most of the JMSetzler ones.

I like these kinda threads :)

C2 photography

This is my current business card, its intentionally left pretty sparse as I try to be a 'jack of all trades' kinda photographer. I'm toying with the idea of designing another with a bit more going on in it.

Ooo- Carl I like yours. very cool! I wouldn't change it. You could do a back side if you want tho.

here's mine
(front back front back... you get the idea.) the back is left unglossy and mostly blank so you can write stuff in if you need to.

I haven't had this printed yet, but this is one I've been working on. My other is just a yucky old plain-jane.

Here is the one I finally settled on:

Here is my current one. It isn't your standard card and has been quite popular, using one of my photos on the front. But I am wanting to change it...just haven't had the time to do that. Dammit!

While these are NOT my business cards ... I printed them up on hard/glossy business card stock with rounded edges and handed them out at my last wedding. They were posted on the table next to the projector that was showing the wedding slideshow I had put together.

The main purpose of these cards was to allow family and friends to see their wedding pictures online. Most of my pictures are held in private folders which you can't find by simply browsing around my site. So this let them go directly to Anthony and Andrea's pictures.

I figured that... while not "blatant advertising" it would still drive potential customers to my site. For about $15, a single customer will easily pay for this small advertising effort. (and to be honest, all of my weddings to date have been referrals, this is the first money I have ever spent on advertising!)

For what it's worth, this is my official business card. I came up with this designed based on feedback right here on DPC. I've printed up a couple thousand of these, so I'll be using them for awhile. :-)
