i added it to the image information of

hopefully we won't see tomany in shadows III ;)

doesn't have to be hard to score high ;) just different ..

my guess why it didn't score higher - (in no particular order)
1) some people didn't 'get it' ..
2) poor monitor calibration ..
3) wasn;'t as good as the winners

i think it was fun .. which was the important part

Thanks for the further explanation on how you got the shot, as you know from my comments I was a big fan and loved the concept and thought it was executed well.
I think some people didn't like the DOF used which made the shadow softer then it really was, but I enjoyed the affect.

i thought the comment was a bit odd ..
if you set the egg down & look at how the light wraps - it REALY IS SOFT

oh 1 thing i forgot to mention is the egg is sitting on a washer ;)

Yeah I was expecting it to be soft and a more defined 'shadow' would spoil the illusion for me. Thanks for the tip on the washer, that's a good idea too.
